Inspiration

Salam everyone,

How is your december holiday? Ohh will blog about my december holiday soon yea..but before that,

Just want to share with you what I find really beautiful..you see, I love looking at something that is so beautiful and it will be an inspiration to me..

Just look at these beyond beautiful ladies! look at their style. So poise, elegant, sophisticated, modest and their eyes looks as though they have so much to say and express..and..and.. their make-up! gosh! really want to try that out! their smile is so pure too!

So, gentlemen, a women can be a form of inspiration to you and they can be a source to your strength. Women can even conquer a stubborn heart and tear down a huge barrier. How do they do that? That my friend is the power of a woman and only the purest hearted ones can see through that.

So touched by this song;

It makes us appreciate life more..Having the chance to be able to feel the warmth of love that is given by Allah SWT. Having to love and to be loved by the ones who truly mean so much to you..MashaAllah..Thank you Allah for all the blessings that you have given us.

To my dearest Husband and sons,
Nothing can ever change the love that I have for all of you. There may be some hurdles along this road that we are in but there are also so much happiness that we have shared and we have gained alot of love along the way. Love and respect must always be there not only for ourselves, but also for others. So, remember my dearests, for I will always be there for you.

Letters to my babies

Salam Everyone,
In this entry, I have decided to start writing letters to my dearest sons and hope to continue writing letters to them to guide them and lead them throughout their lives and so that they will always feel the love I that have for them. They may not understand it now but in the future or in 10 years or more they will eventually. So here it goes,

Dear Harris and Ryan,

Writing this letters to you, mummy hopes that both of you will never forget that mummy will be there and will always love you no matter what happens.

Dearest, this is my first letter to both of you and mummy hopes that she can write to you often so that you can grow up reading my letters and take it as a form of strength to face the world with love and respect.

Throughout these years mummy and daddy have watched you grow into vibrant, curious and handsome young boys. From day 1 until this very day. Each day we pray to Allah to let us live to continue to watch both of you grow. We remember the day when the doctor told us that we were having you, the days you were in mummy's tummy, each day when both of our hands were soothing my tummy to calm you down when you were still inside, the days when we cried tears of joy eager to welcome you into this world, the first day that we saw you and held you in our arms, the very first day your daddy recited the dua's for both of you when you were still a day old, the day when we first saw you smile. Until the day of your first steps and called us 'mummy' and 'babah'. Ohh! there are just many more memories that we shared together that will never fade by time.

Abang, as I am writing this letter to you, you are already 5 years old and soon to be 6! You have grown into a very handsome and curious young man! asking me and your daddy lots if questions some that we can't even answer! and some even made us think!. From that I've realised that you love to imagine!. Most if your questions are about buildings, houses and mosques on how they are built, It's structure, why it is built, why some are tall and some aren't, how you insist on switching on youtube to find the answers to your questions. You love to draw and love sticking them on the wall for mummy to see when she comes home after work. But most of all you still love to cuddle and loves to be treated like a baby by me and your daddy. Abang, we hope that this thirst for knowledge and the love and respect you have in you will continue to grow with you in the future. My prayers and du'as are with you my son. Ameen!

Ryan, you are now a year and a half years old! time really does fly fast doesn't it?and each day you never fail to make me love you even more! you are the baby in the family and everyone loves you especially your big brother, Abang Harris. You complete us as a family. Till this very day you have grown healthy and you love to eat! (where did you get that from? hehe), you love to run around the house and let people chase you until can't catch their breath and you would laugh at them. You love to get angry at people hoping that they get scared and make a sad face and you would charm them with your smile!. You love bathtimes so that you could play with the water. You love your Ghigi the giraffe, the plush toy that your brother gave you when you were still a little baby. You have grown into this energetic and vibrant toddler. Mummy, Daddy and Abang hopes and prays that you will grow into a person full of love and respect towards yourself and as well as others. My prayers and du'as are always with you my son. Ameen!

My darlings, remember, life has never promised that it would be easy. There will be bumps and cracks on the road, there will be ups and downs along the way but there will also be happiness and light along that path. Ameen!. Trust me, if you have the right mindset and the right attitude good things may come your way. Be positive and think of others. Have faith in Allah and yourselves. Never forget that mummy and daddy will always be there for you. Don't let us down as we have never failed to take care of both of you.

Lastly, we love both of you so dearly and no one can take that away!

With love,
Mummy

Interesting!

Salam again,

Have you encountered mean people? I bet each and every one of us have had that experience. But have you actually asked yourselves why these people are in such a foul circumstance (on how they react to people, how they communicate with people). I have personally had my share of experience in this area..hmm..so feeling curious I did some research!

Like always, I spare my time reading my favourite blogs, and one of my favourite blog (Thepinkstilletos) posted an entry about this topic and yes! it had caught my attention!

Why Are People Mean?

The first time I saw a T-shirt that said "mean people suck," I thought, Now, there is a heartfelt sentiment, succinctly expressed. I only wished I'd been the author. I mention this because recently I've encountered several mean people, and I've had to remind myself that the concept of authorship is key to surviving these experiences.

I don't know about you, but my favorite ways of reacting to mean people are (1) getting mean right back or (2) lying down quietly to display the word welcome! written where my spine used to be. Annoyingly, my job constantly reminds me that there's a more responsible and effective way to live. That's how it is for us authors. I say "us" because you're an author, too. Not all of us write for publication, but every living person has the power of authorship when it comes to composing our lives. Meanness emerges when we believe that we have no such power, that we're passive receptors of life's vagaries. Inner peace follows when we begin responding to cruelty—our own and other people's—with the authority we've possessed all along.

Why are people mean? Here's the short answer: They're hurt. Here's the long answer: They're really hurt. At some point, somebody—their parents, their lovers, Lady Luck—did them dirty. They were crushed. And they're still afraid the pain will never stop, or that it will happen again.

There. I've just described every single person living on planet Earth.

The fact is that we've all been hurt, and we're all wounded, but not all of us are mean. Why not? Because some people realize that their history of suffering can be a hero's saga rather than a victim's whine, depending on how they "write" it. The moment we begin tolerating meanness, in ourselves or others, we are using our authorial power in the service of wrong doing. We have both the capacity and the obligation to do better.

So, there it is..come to think about it, it might be true! but is that how you handle things when you are hurt? by being mean thus hurting others you might feel better or get even? well that's just mean! hehe..think positive, patience is the essence and keep your faith, remember that Allah is always there for you! serahkan kepada yang maha kuasa..sebab Allah sentiasa berlaku adil! InsyaAllah :)

Assalammualaikum,

Here is my second entry for today (since i have some spare time)..
It's been two years since we moved into my parents home.. and had spent 2 ramadhans and 2 Syawals here. We had planned to move back into our home but haven't had the chance to..and i do miss our home..it was very cosy and homey..thinking of moving back in..but honestly, i feel a bit scared and insecure to because of having the new maid and all and despite of it's location..but we have to grow up right? and think of ways to handle it.

Now I am in the midst of discussing it with the habibi..let's see what he agrees on..InsyaAllah..

Here below is a picture of our living room....back in 2008..

I miss our home...

Have any of you felt the same way as I do?

Where did my shoe go??

Salam again,

I'd like to share with you what had happened to my new pair of shoes. Last year, during our family trip to KL, i've purchased a few pairs of shoes, which i love and adore! but hey what kind of lady doesn't love and adore her shoes! right?

So, writing about this shoe, i bought a pair from Charles & Keith (my favourite and still is currently) from Mid Valley, it was turquoise in colour and i had to grab it! besides they didn't have it in Brunei. So, when it was time to fly back home to Brunei, i was sure that i have packed the shoes that i've bought nicely and had even counted them!

So, when we reached Brunei, reached home that is, i unpacked our stuff, separating the laundry and whatnot and in the middle of that unpacking i went to the kitchen to have a drink. When i came back to unpack, i had found that i had lost a shoe! i panicked! thinking i must've left it back at the hotel! but how could that be? i had packed them nicely! even counted them lagi! i asked the hubby where could my shoe have gone?and yes you guessed it! he didn't know!

To cut the story short, yesterday, i was doing some spring-cleaning in our bedroom, then to my surprise! there was my shoe! after so long!. There it was in an Aussino paper bag! who could've put it there? I wonder...

The shoe...all dusty...

Where the shoe rested for months! hehe

the separated pair of shoes...

could this be the culprit?? hehehe (i love him so much though!)

Hello again!

Salam everyone,

It's been a while since i last posted my writings in here. These past few months has been such a whirlwind! and i couldn't even spare my time to write new posts here.

Well, what have we been up to these past few months u ask? Abg Harris has turned 5 on the 16th of April and Ryan, the little munchkin turned 1 on the 23 of March! so we had a double celebration.
As my first entry, i'd like to share with you my latest movie-watching experience, well, my review actually :)

Today i watched the movie, 'When In Rome' (starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel - they have chemistry!).

Have you watched it?? if you haven't, go watch it!! it's definitely worth your time!

It's about two people trying to find love and believing in the magic of love! (i like!). I'm giving this movie an 11/10. So, you can imagine how much i enjoyed watching the movie plus i had my man sitting right next to me while watching it! isn't that a bonus when watching a love-romantic-comedy movie?

As you can see, i've used alot of exclamation marks in my writing, that actually shows how ecstatic i feel about this movie :)
Lastly, i hope to write more in here soon in the future..see you soon peeps!

Family Day Out..

Last Friday we went out to have our Hi-Tea at one of our favourite spot, Nyonya Restaurant @ Yayasan..

We love it there because of it's wonderful location..it's located right at the heart of Yayasan ..and we love it's setting and the food is very room-service-like a.k.a delicious-lah tu! hehe

The price range for the menus are reasonable..however, the drinks are a bit pricey (for some) but it doesn't hurt to splurge on drinks once in a while kan? especially when it's a hot day and you need to cool off your throat..hehe

It's also convenient to bring my two boys there since it's very quiet (for most of the time that we've been there) and not too crowded as well and my 4 year old loves the view (the view of the Sultan Omar Ali Mosque).

Weekends are always about family to us..so hopefully this weekend will bring lots of love and laughter like it always does..Alhamdulilah :)

Poor fella..my 4 year old was not feeling very well..

The interior..

Slept like a little baby..

was ryan awake? nah..he was sleeping..but his eyes were half open hehe..

mummy and Ryan here..
I was relieved that the little one dozed off..that means i can eat peacefully without having to hold him on my lap and him grabbing my food (this is because he doesn't love the idea of sitting in the baby chair) but there was a loud "bang" that came probably from the kitchen and uhuh! you guessed it! Ryan jumped straight up and wailed! ohh! so much for that "peaceful makan"..hehe

eating a slice of fresh tomato..

Daddy captured a photo of mummy..

Daddy's Kuching Laksa..

Trying to snap a photo of just the two of us but didn't succeed..hehe

The Nasi Goreng Kampung..

p/s: more snaps of the family outing on my facebook..so check it out! :)

How Did That Happen?

Working out..

I feel inspired each time i see celebrities work out especially when they work-out with their spouses or kids..either on the E! channel, on the internet, in magazines or elsewhere..

So, i will definitely count this in for my new year's resolution..hehe..

My husband keeps on encouraging me to do some jogging or some aerobics..but never bothered..sorry baby..

I used to do some aerobics previously but stopped when i felt i didn't have the time and when i got pregnant.

But now..i have to get my lazy bum up for the challenge! (i do admit that i am getting too plump!)
maybe i'll drag the kids along..and spend some family time with them.

The hubby would definitely love this..so, honey..this is for you..I love you! hehe

Just take a look at these celebs jogging or running or working out or whatever you call it..what do these ladies have in common you ask? they are all mommies! working mommies! and they have the time to work out! they definitely inspire me to do so!

This is Brooke Shields with her two kids..

Reese witherspoon..mommy of two..

Katie Holmes..mommy of daughter, Suri..
p.s: How often do you work out?

The Ultimate Love-story..

My favourite type of movie would always be the romantic genre movies..

That's the kind of movie which i favour to watch..at home or at the cinemas..

After THE NOTEBOOK, this will now become my favourite love movie..

What's your ultimate love movie? :)

A Journey..

Time does indeed fly so fast ( like a rocketship hehe) don't you agree?

From being a wife to a mommy..

Now having two boys makes me more aware of the joys and happiness in life..it's PRICELESS!

Having a loving and supporting husband makes it more worthwhile..

Having two kids in the age of 27..i have achieved my goals i might say..

What more can i ask for, u ask?

well, more and more happiness i may say..a life filled with bliss and never-ending joy..InsyaAllah (by God's will).

Now my eldest is in Kindergarden 2 and my youngest is in his 9th month..

Life is more and more busier than ever..

working in the morning and running errands in the afternoons..

But hey..that's what its like being a wife and a mommy..

2010..

This year started off quite well i may say so. We (me & mr hubby) each celebrated our birthday in the same month..we celebrated it with our two kids..none of that dating policy..we wanted to celebrate it as a whole family..the hubby, me, my 4 year old and my 9 month munchkin..we had a blast!

So you see,

at the end of the day i can close my eyes laying beside my three wonderful heroes feeling nothing but love, ease and comfort..feeling blessed by Allah to have been given such a beautiful life and such a wonderful family..
